Forums - Sony - Killzone 3 Review: 3D Impresses – Move does not

.....Matt gets straight into it by saying that trying to aim crosshairs with motion control was very difficult, this was because it was flying all over the place – something that we are all familiar with on the Nintendo Wii.

Having said that, 3D more than makes up for this, with Matt saying that he was very impressed with it and that it was “relatively unobtrusive.” The 3D aspect of the game could not be any different to Move, the former integrating nicely, the latter certainly lacks in that area...........

An inherent problem with motion control in general IMO

Sounds like he doesn't know how to use it. I'm not familiar with this "flying all over the place" issue he seems to think applies to the Wii too.

Im glad 3d got i positive comment. I was concerned it was going to be the worst part of the game, im all for it others just seem to hate it because i guess its the hip thing to do. As for move they still have some time i would have liked it to have been pretty much nailed down but hopefully they can get it working right.

Is the learning curve for Move or any controller that big....hmmm

In any case, I'll take "flying all over the place" over the wading-through-molasses controls in Killzone 2.

I hoping someone will bring out a rifle move mount - that would make the whole experience more realistic, and help with 'flying all over the place issue.'

The controller does have a lot of precision when it comes down to it. I was surprised when I got my move earlier this week.

To be honest, I'd rather them work on making the game 3D now then have it be more of an afterthought. The Move controls have plenty of time to be tightened up over the next few months.

Games like killzone are simply not made for motion controls..and I agree they should focus on 3D, its one of their core competence. If they continue to foster what they do best, then I think they will increase their competitive advantage.

No, you just point. I don't know what he's talking about, I play FPS on the Wii all the time and I have never had the cursor "flying all over the place".

A game I'm developing with some friends:

It is largely a technical exercise but feedback is appreciated.
