Well if they are making a game that needs to sell that much to turn even then they need to do something different!!!! (Uncharted 2 cost $20m to make)

As for making it more western, what they certainly shouldn't do is make it go head to head against God of War, its Japanese nature makes it more interesting and unique, I wish the Japanese developers would realise that we like many of the Japanese games' odd quirks

Yes, i agree with what you've said, but i think they need to make the gameplay more accessible like God of War. i mean i agree with the direction NT are taking because they seem to really care for the game, and it seems like the combat wont have loads of different combos that you have to remember and expertly time. in that sense i think a lot of action games could learn from GOW, because its just more fun when you DONT have to meticulously manage your fights.

i know everyone thinks that 5mil is crazy, but i think that if NT pour their heart and soul into this game then it could do maybe, 2mil on the 360 and 2mil on the PS3. its not out of the question.

What other action games is he talking about that sold 4/5 million???

Me thinks: Resident Evil, Metal Gear Solid

tbh, those are not really the same type of action, i thought the best selling action game like that was Kingdom Hearts 1, but even then its more RPG, and even God of War 1 sold 3.70 mil, which is still not that much imo. but GOW3 looks like it will exceed 4mil, so i think that series is probabily the best measure of success in that genre.

Yes this, Capcom is only setting it's self up for more disappointment.

Edit: They could also lose a lot of longtime DMC fans by outsourcing the game, since it doesn't seem like many care for this new take on the series.
