Forums - PC - GOG stops service

If it's going to come back as 'Great Steam Games' then I wouldn't have too much of a problem....

It's a marketing stunt, pretty obvious with all that's been said. And there's rumours that there's even new investors ready to buy GOG.com because it's so profitable.

If it comes back with DRM I'm gonna be ultra pissed.

Don't get drunk, get even.

Tease.

So. They put up a video on the Youtube.

Single frame near the end. Looks like... Baldur's Gate?

Those sons of bitches twisted my heart! I'm so mad I can't see straight!

But then...

Baldur's Gate.

Yep, they return with Baldur's Gate.

Already got Baldur's Gate, so I'm not fussed- also, would an altered .exe mean incompatibility with its mods? I doubt I would play it nowdays without Tutu, the various fixpacks and the widescreen mods, although having them baked in would be rather awesome. System Shock 2 and Dungeon Keeper 2, please.

Oh yes! Plus Syndicate, Magic Carpet and Grim Fandango.

Most GOG releases are completely mod-compatible to the best of my knowledge.

And I think the point is that Baldur's Gate is hard to get nowadays. Hell, I'll buy it whenever they go back up.

YES, Grim Fandango. Sadly, that and System Shock 2 are apparently lost in IP hell- no one knows who owns them.
