everytime i see kudo at pressers or just talking about kinect makes me miss him when he left ea and his fight night franchise :( he left after the third one and then microsoft hired him

His comments are meaningless apart from their indended action, which is to fool those hearing them into thinking:

1 - wow, Kinect must be amazing if its going to outsell iPad

2 - wow, I must look into this.

For one, he gives no qualification.  What does he really mean?  First day sales, first 60 days, LTD.  Does he think in two years Kinect will have sold twice as much as iPad?  I don't.  He says "any sales" which is wonderfully open and hard to pin down.

Kinect is a fraction of the cost of an iPad and apart from being a technology product has nothing much in common with it apart from some vague interface overlaps.

I have nothing against Kinect as a product, but I hate this kind of attention grabbing PR that is in fact based on meaningless claims that give the impression of meaning.

Could Kinect perhaps outsell iPad's initial performance?  Maybe.  iPad was expensive and at launch quantities were somewhat limited.  Over time?  Seems unlikely unless iPad slows or Apple themselves bring out a competitive product to replace it (which they might do in theory).

BTW, I hate this kind of stuff whether it's Sony, MS or my Uncle Fred selling cars (I have no Uncle Fred but you get the idea) so don't bash on that I'm somehow hating on Kinect because I don't like this kind of untruthful marketing.
