I hate the fact that all these companies just like to release games that are pretty much the same game.
Games like Halo, God of War, Gran Turismo and Battlefield are okay because they either add a lot more features, continue the story or are generally totally different games(Battlefield Series).

However games like Final Fantasy and Call of Duty, add very little, have a extremely bad story, and usually just get worst after a defining game in the series until they are dropped by the company.

also how is Call of Duty games not following a storyline while GT games do ?

It STILL doesn't make sense dude. All Final Fantasy's are tottally different so that comment makes no sense it's like saying "Who learned you too word spoke" and expecting people not to go WTF?

Final Fantasy is IMO by far the most milked gaming series ever, 14 games in the main series, thats too many.
They are only continuing the series for money. They are to scared to make a new game because they are afraid it wont sell without Final Fantasy in its name, Square enix are no way near the greatness they were several years ago.

And actually its NOTHING like saying  "Who learned you too word spoke". How did you even think that up?

Forget 360, I'm surprised there's no PSP/PS2/Wii versions.  DW6 sold another 250k on PS2, and 100k more on PSP.  And really even 50k on 360... that's a potential 400k that DW7 might be missing out on (which was slightly more than DW6 sold on PS3 btw).

Koei's weird, I figured, they'd be going more multiplatform with Musou, but since last last year they've been going less and less.  The engine's already in place across 360/PS3/PS2/PSP/Wii (and now 3DS even too), you'd think they'd want the games on as many systems as possible.  DW7 should be on at least 360/Wii/PSP too imo.  SW3 should've been ported to 360/PS3/PSP too by now.  And no excuse for GM3 missing Wii/PSP, all it really adds in engine is cellshading. :/

This is not much different then Japanese wondering why people always wondering why people always buy Madden every year... 

DW6 released like 3-4 years ago?  And Koei tried to change the formula even themes like mentioned before  Kessen/bladestorm, the warriors of Troy game that will release soon..DW SF etc..

And fans of DW are really begging for a new DW 7 game..

The only thing that suckes (like I mentioned before) is that the fanbase is on all the three different consoles mostly PS3/X360;..X360 got some exclusive games like warriors Orochi (Warriors Orochi z never left Japan) if the game stays exclusive on PS3 outside of Japan this can lead to an 100-200K DW fans buying a PS3 for DW7...

I really hope it gets multiplatform though;..I have all the koei games on my X360 and it would be an pity I now have to buy the game on PS3...

did you ever play any Final Fantasy? each game is like a completly different game, VERY VERY different from the one before it, infact they can all be standalone franchises thats why there are spin offs but even the spin offs are compeletly different from each other, can you explain to me how FFXII is the same as FFXIII ?

and no Square Enix isn't afraid of making games that aren't Final Fantasy, Where do you think Dragon Quest , The World Ends With You , Kingdom Hearts , SaGa , MANA, Chrono,Front Mission and The Last Remnant came from?

I think you're confusing what milking really is.


Games like GH and Rock Band are series that have been milked. You know why? They gaps where a new title is released are just to small. As well there is little to no innovation or improvement since the last entry. Final Fantasy while having 14 main entry titles can not be classified as a milked series because each title is different from the other, with new characters, stories and gameplay elements. Really Square could have released Final Fantasy X under the title of Spira: Dawn of the new world and people wouldn't have even blinked or have said that this was a ripoff or sequel to Final Fantasy IX and you wanna know why?

Different characters, themes, gameplay elements, atmosphere, setting. Each game in the Final Fantasy universe could have been released as a completely different game and no one would have been the wiser. NOW is there milking of specific Final Fantasies? Yes. FF7 was recently milked in so many different ways, because it seemed like Square decided to try and beat a dead horse with a stick. It wouldn't have been so bad if they just released Crisis Core and possibly Advent Children (You know a Sequel and Prequel route) but they added in Before Crisis, Advent Children Complete, Dirge of Cerberus in addition to the aforementioned titles. NOW THATS MILKING
