The only thing MS officially said about Halo 3's first day sales is that revenue wise it beat Halo 2. VGchartz probably has a number

By Microsoft... $200 million day one.

At $60 = 3.3M but Legendary ($150) and Limited ($80) should down the number for near 3M.
