The books were pretty awesome..but the books and game are from what i understoor two different story lines. Great trailer tho...they should make a movie...instead we got district 9...

Cortana said it best in the beginning of Halo 3. During the opening cinematic she explains why John was so different than any other Spartan.
" They let me pick, did I ever tell you that? Choose whichever Spartan I wanted. You know me. I did my research. Watched as you became the soldier we needed you to be. Like the others you were strong and swift and brave. A natural leader. But you had something they didn't. Something no one saw....but me. Can you guess? Luck. Was I wrong?"
Chief was amazing and greatest of all the Spartan II's. But a good deal of what helped him on his journey was luck, or fate whichever way you see it.
OT: The trailer is incredible, so moving. Man I wish they would make a movie.

would have liked a bit longer after the ship blows apart and expected a bit more from the bigger version as not much difference between short and extented
in btw who the hell said it was 10mins long,that would have been expensive as MS is gonna advertise these alot and 4 times these would have cost them big bucks and at the same time bigger version would have made it boring too

There was talk about a ten minute version of some kind of live action spot a while back. I think the first time I heard that, it was BenVTrigger (sorry if I'm wrong) who mentioned it.
