Forums - Gaming - Why are YOU interested in Kinect and/or Move?

I am interested in Move because i hate Dual Analoge and aiming with a stick

move: had the ps eye. had an interest in the wii interface but the games are not the kind I enjoy playing.

Kinect: although I will probably never get it. I hope it does well as I have had an interest in controller-less gaming since I got an eye toy, about 6 or 7 years ago.

correct me if I am wrong
stop me if I am bias
I love a good civilised debate (but only if we can learn something).

Kinect: dance and some sports and fitness games, some easy party games, fusion of virtual and live sex O-) (but current limitations would allow at most singles and couples to interact at a distance, threesomes and more up to orgies would be limited to use the camera, with advanced features limited to a couple at a time for each group ...And local orgies making a couple at a time perform something would make them look like a porn version of "Jeux sans Frontières". )

Move: ARPGs, FPS, action and adventure games, some sports and fitness games, some easy party games

And I feel the need to specify a thing: I would NOT use ANY of them for RACING GAMES!!!

Stwike him, Centuwion. Stwike him vewy wuffly! (Pontius Pilate, "Life of Brian")
A fart without stink is like a sky without stars.
TGS, Third Grade Shooter: brand new genre invented by Kevin Butler exclusively for Natal WiiToo Kinect. PEW! PEW-PEW-PEW!

Move: The games incl Heavy Rain, LBP2, Sorcery and a few other's I can't think of right now.

Kinect: The non-gaming applications, though not enough to warrant buying a 360, or a Kinect by itself for using with PC, unless I get a much better PC and have it better networked to the rest of the house.

Kinect seems like a way to get the whole family gaming and consuming media on the Xbox. Auto-login with face recognition, voice control, and no controllers seems like it will eliminate all the barriers to entry to non-gamers. The more family friendly game content also seems like a smart way to not alienate and offend non-gamers.

Move seems like a way to get hardcore gamers to waste money on a slew of peripherals they won't end up using because they can't compete with the dualshock. Could be wrong but I just don't see regular people getting excited about Move games or controlling the XMB with the Move controller. The Move games look very generic and bland to me compared to the Kinect lineup.

Hmmm.....I find myself confused here.

Lol im with you on that. Gotta Say Sony Seems to be doing a Great job getting Core And Casual Games for MOVE, I have yet to see one Good looking Core Title For Kinect

Atto Suggests...:

Book - Malazan Book of the Fallen series

Game - Metro Last Light

Holy crap! I can't believe I forgot to mention R.U.S.E. it's one of the games I'm most excited about getting for MOVE. I like RTS on PC, but I've always wanted to play RTS on my nice big TV screen, but console controllers havce always been utter crap for RTS. I think MOVE (and Kinect I think) will do wonders for the RTS genre on console.

I wonder if Halo Wars will get a Kinect patch.

Kinect - Not for the current crop of games outright but certainly for the Technology suite and the capabilities and what it can offer.

Having said not for the crop of games I have enjoyed watching people play Kinectimals and that will be a huge smash in my household of sproglets. Dancing Evolved, Your fitness evolved and the Movie game (sorry forget its name) all look very good.

Tech, excitement, fun and potential.

Move - As annoying as it sounds I bypassed the Wii I can certainly bypass Move. I do however understand if you are a PS3 owner and have any interest in the Move titles why you would be excited by it.

Kinect as seen by PS3 owners ...if you can pick at it   ...post it ... Did I mention the 360 was black and Shinny? Keeping Sigs obscure since 2007, Passed by the Sig police 5July10.

I was interested in Kinect because of Dance Central and Masters, but now I don't care for it because a new DDR is coming to PS3.

plus, who am I kidding? No other Kinect games interest me. While the technology seems cool, there's no way I'm going to want to play an actual game using nothing but body gestures. If Microsoft insists on using nothing but one's body, I doubt there's going to be anything that'll interest me besides maybe a few dance games... Kinectimals and Milo? Give me a break. I'm not a 12 year old dreaming of having a pet tiger or a British friend.

Move mainly for RE5. I hope they patch it for the Sims 3. Also Move is more convincing, and because it has buttons. In buttons I trust. oh oh and Sorcery because my sphere will change colors according to spells :3

I'm not excited for Kinect at all. I remember playing EyeToy games on the PS2, and when I look at Kinect's games, they look identical. Wave your hands in the air and jump? No thanks.

I am mildly interested in the Move for the same reasons I was originally interested in the Wii. The Wii turned out to be a colossal disappointment in terms of motion controls (not games, there's plenty of awesome games), and the only redeeming aspect of it was the pointer controls. I never bought WM because the game content wasn't there, and it's still not there. Move is an improvement over WM , and it definitely enhances some games like LBP2 and Heavy Rain, I'm just waiting on the first truly awesome motion controlled game.

Right now, Sorcery looks like it has a ton of promise, and the fighting game is a step in the right direction, but it's not quite there yet.

Currently playing: Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, NBA2k11, Metal Gear Solid, Picross 3d

Move looks like it might have the ability to mimic the mouse for FPSs. If it can and it works well, then I will buy Move. Outside of that I have no interest.
