The age old debate between marvel and dc fans, who will win.

The Sentry's powers ostensibly derive from a serum that moves his molecules an instant ahead of the current timeline. This was designed to be a hundred thousand times stronger than the original used on Captain America, and was modified by Weapon X.[37]

Although the character's exact abilities and their limits are unknown, he has been shown to lift a Helicarrier (with assistance from Ms. Marvel and Wonder Man);[38] effortlessly defeat and break the handle of the axe of Terrax,[39] a herald of Galactus shown as powerful enough to slice planets in half (although at the time Sentry fought him, his full power level was not evident);[40] severely pummel and nearly tear apart the female Ultron,[41] and easily shatter shields of Doctor Doom.[14] During the Sentry's initial miniseries, Spider-Man, in a moment of reflection, recalls that the Sentry fought and stalemated Galactus at one point.[42]

He generally greatly restrains his full power,[43] but when unleashing it he has even overloaded the Absorbing Man;[43] and fought an extremely enraged Hulk for a prolonged time until both fighters reverted to their human forms, whereupon Reynolds collapsed at Bruce Banner's feet.[19][44] He possesses superhuman speed, making him easily able to evade or catch bullets; and through flight he can travel to the sun and back in a matter of minutes (suggesting he can move at the speed of light or, in the context of the Marvel universe, even faster[original research?]). The Sentry is also apparently invulnerable: Spider-Woman's venom blasts, capable of killing even superhumans at full power, have no effect upon him.[45] Nick Fury has stated that S.H.I.E.L.D. has not yet found a way to kill the Sentry,[citation needed] and Iron Man's scanners have found no physical weaknesses in his body.[citation needed]

The Sentry also has superhumanly acute senses, as he once told an opponent that he could see his nerve centers. He can emit light, which can be used for a pacifying effect, and possesses powers of tremendous energy projection, from both his hands and eyes,[46] capable of harming even the Hulk (in his Green Scar incarnation), who has withstood the equivalent of solar flares unharmed.[19] The Sentry has also at times demonstrated the ability to instantly teleport himself away in a blinding flash of light.[47][48][49]

He was once able to implant his memories inside another person's mind, and uses his allegedly vast mental powers to hold his physical form together. After Ultron murdered his wife, Sentry was able to resurrect her by simply touching her.[41] His main weakness may be that he's been shown as susceptible to mental manipulation.[14]

The Sentry has demonstrated the ability to recreate himself after bodily destruction -up to and including total molecular destruction within seconds (he once tried to commit suicide by flying into the heart of the sun). Dialogue between Reynolds and the Void suggests that this particular capability is automatic, involuntary, and beyond the control of either Roberts or the Void.[32]

He eventually found out that all his powers apparently derive from abilities similar to those of the virtually omnipotent Molecule Man, but is not as experienced in manipulating reality yet.[50]

During a conversation between Lindy, CLOC, and the Void, it is hinted that the Sentry's powers may come from a cosmic source, or possibly even from the Judeo-Christian God, with Lindy believing that his powers were of "maybe Biblical proportions" and theorizing that modern-day superheroes were conduits through which such power was now being channeled.[30] When Steve Rogers demands that Norman Osborn tell him how the heroes are to stop the Void, Osborn says (albeit possibly figuratively) that the Void was the 'Angel of Death';[35] an earlier Biblical flashback also revealed that the being that brought the divine plagues down on Egypt was apparently similar in appearance to the Void, who, millennia later, claims to the Sentry when attacking New York that doing so is executing 'God's will'.[30]

VS

Over the course of the character's 72 years of existence, Superman has, at some point or another, had various combinations of the following powers and abilities:

  • Superhuman strength - Physical strength far exceeding that of a normal human or any other known animal. The upper limit of how much weight he can lift has ranged from several tons to entire planets. Explanations include being adapted to the heavier gravity of Krypton, and his muscles using the power of the solar energy which fuels all his abilities. Superman's stamina is also limitless (whilst he remains in yellow sunlight).
  • Invulnerability - Physical invulnerability protecting his body from almost any form of harm. Effectiveness has ranged from his skin being piercable by nothing less than a "bursting shell" to being completely unharmed at ground zero of a nuclear explosion. Includes the immunity to most known diseases, viruses and toxins. Explanations for this ability have included Kryptonians having an extremely dense molecular structure to each of his cells emitting an unbreakable aura of solar energy. However, in the rare instances Superman has required medical attention, this resistance to injuries has complicated necessary procedures such as surgery. For instance, when a criminal shot him with kryptonite ammunition, a surgeon was forced to give Superman a controlled exposure to the mineral in order to temporarily weaken his skin enough to make the incisions necessary to remove internal fragments of the bullet. In some versions, this power greatly retards his aging and increases as he gets older, sometimes rendering him effectively immortal - the epilogue to the Justice Society of America storyline "Thy Kingdom Come" (a sequel of sorts to "Kingdom Come") showing Superman surviving 1000 years into the future, albeit as a very elderly, hunched-over man. Another version in DC 1 Million lives through the 853rd Century as a virtual deity.
  • Flight - Ability to propel himself through the air at will. Has ranged from simply being able to jump great distances using his superhuman strength, to being able to accelerate, float in midair, change direction and traverse interstellar distances without stopping.
  • Superhuman speed - Ability to move at speeds far greater than normal humans are capable of. Top speeds have ranged from hundreds of miles per hour to speeds far greater than the speed of light. Includes the speeding up of his thoughts and perception to be able to control his actions as well as normal while moving at high speeds.
  • X-ray vision - Ability to see through solid objects, usually with the exception of lead. Explanations for how this power works vary, but rarely include the emission and perception of actual X-Rays, as such high-energy radiation would actually be dangerous to living things he uses it on. A more common theory involves being able to see and concentrate on the patterns of natural cosmic radiation as it reverberates off objects.
  • Heat vision - Ability to emit heat energy from his eyes. Usually resembles bright red or orange laser-like beams, which may be invisible at low temperatures but extremely bright at high ones. Has been depicted as a focused variation of his X-Ray Vision, but is usually a distinct power involving converting solar energy directly into heat. Superman has been shown to be able use Heat Vision with surgical precision and at microscopic levels. In some stories, it can be reflected like a true laser, which Superman may use to shave his otherwise very durable whiskers. Sometimes shown to be one of his more physically draining powers to use as it uses such concentrated solar energy.
  • Super breath - Ability to inhale and exhale huge volumes of air with great force, capable of extinguishing large fires and moving heavy objects such as cars. Also allows Superman to hold his breath for extended periods in airless environments. The release (exhalation) of highly compressed air through a valve(such as pursed lips) causes it to drop radically in temperature. This is known as the Joule-Thomson effect, and when Superman does this, it is usually referred to as Freeze Breath, and can cool objects to sub-zero temperatures and freeze air moisture solid.[1] It is likely that this is not a separate power, in and of itself, but is merely an auxillery power to his super strength and limitless stamina, which gives him near limitless cardiovascular strength.
  • Super hearing - Ability to hear far more sounds with far more detail at far greater distances than normally humanly possible, including sounds on frequencies undetectable by humans such as dog whistles. Superman is able to mentally screen out most of these sounds to be able to function normally, even in a noisy environment, and can focus in on specific things, like a person's voice or heartbeat, even if they are in another part of the city. Like humans and most animals, he is skilled at automatically noticing his own name out of the jumble of several overheard conversations, making him adept at quickly responding to calls of distress all over the city.
  • Superhuman vision - Ability to see farther and with greater accuracy than normally humanly possible. Sometimes includes the ability to see EM frequencies invisible to humans, such as radio transmissions, infrared light and in some stories, even an energy aura which supposedly surrounds all living things (this originated in Superman: Birthright). Offshoots of this power include Telescopic Vision, which allows him to "zoom in" on far away objects, sometimes hundreds of miles away, and Microscopic Vision, which allows him to zoom in on objects that would normally be too small to see, like those on a cellular or molecular level.
  • Superhuman Olfaction - A heightened and highly accurate sense of smell comparable to some animals such as dogs. Can be used to detect things like the chemicals in a bomb hidden somewhere in a crowded room.
  • Eidetic memory - Superman is occasionally shown to have flawless, total recall of everything he has ever seen, read or heard. In turn, he is often depicted as being fluent in many of Earth's languages. This "power" is shared by a number of real-life people such as Kim Peek, but in Superman's case it is likely a result of his invulnerability preventing any cell in his brain from deteriorating and related to his mind's ability to perceive events at superhuman speeds as if they were happening at normal speeds.
  • Superhuman Sound - Superman can whistle very loudly reaching almost 100 decibels on the Decibel meter. His whistle can stun dogs.

I put these abilities up so it will help with your choice....I vote Sentry.

Sentry is a rip off of Superman.  So I say Superman will kick his ass if Superman goes all out 100%.

Superman, because... well, because he's Superman.

Or check out my new webcomic: http://selfcentent.com/

i almost voed sentry until the OP said human form. Superman is your victor

I don't actually know who Sentry is (is he a newer Marvel hero, someone within the last 10-ish years?) but if he can't actually beat the Hulk and then somehow stalemate Galactus I would say Superman wins on consistency alone.

this will definitely be a good fight. Superman got my vote.

But, If Sentry hiding some kryptonite it'll be a tough one.

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

void is weaker, the void is stronger only in the negative zone

Sentry can win just by molecule manipulation, he can alter reality.
