Like all chinese products which are not produced in licence for Europe America Japan  it will definetly be trash.

Sometimes they steal know how but to launch a Console which competes with PS3 Xbox or Wii it needs way more then just to steal the basic technology. So this will fail in western markets definetly. 

I doubt that they will use the same technology as Kinect because the tricky part is the microsoft software. This prediciton stuff. So I guess that they have to steal the software from Kinect. But even then its still no competition because of Games. Casuals have big expectations. As seen on WII where just Nintendo Software sells good and even professional third party developer struggle. So I somehow doubt that they will have success with it. Even if they would invest Millions into the Software development they would need the skills of Nintendo.

At best it will sell in China. And maybe in emerging markets around the globe in small quantities.

IF it sells well in China, it'll sell more units than Wii.

in my opinion the thing is this may be China's answer to a Game console for China only at first with chinese developer's at the helm it will sell  very well most likely in China, and if Chinese govt alow licence it out to other contries depending on the spec's and which market's it's going to target in other countries low price or higher price market it may do well there , but we will have to see if it even get's off the ground and get traction yet in Even China or anywhere else for that matter.

Need to see what they are targeting marketwise.  If it is a product mainly for the internal Chinese market, they may be viable in the market.  Truing to go outside China is an entirely different animal.

Based on their sales forecasts, I don't see this competing with the big 3 in the west.
