I know that there is video chat but not everyone has a ps3 and it would be coll to talk to a friend or relative through skype on the ps3. I set up a skype on my psp go and did a test call to my gfs laptop and it was pretty cool, I'm sure the ps3 can handle it but will sony ever give it the feature?

sony should act on it, i mean they still have that deal with skype so why not get more bang for your buck?

I'd totally use it on the PS3. Would be a good use for the  camera.

this would be a really nice feature if you could use skype while playing games. It would solve the problem that there isn't a cross game voice chat on the PS3.

using skype as cross voice chat would be even cooler than the xbox360's voice chat because you can also talk to PC users on skype. so it's not only cross GAME voice chat, but also cross PLATFORM voice chat.

Really don't see a need for it. 

well since google offer's now the ability to FREE call and low rates on international calling "call someone from your gmail" i think sony may be weighing on which way to go...skype or google, hell maybe even both.

This is crazy. In the future the telephone will probably be VoIP only. When this happen, it will be a monstrous defeat for the population privacy and liberty.

The google of now have a totally oposity posture than the one of 5 years ago.
