Yeah your probabily right, it wouldve been interesting to see his emotional journey throughout the game as the man who caused Nabudis (which i felt was a reference to Hiroshima & Nagasaki).

personally i think Wada might think about bringing Matsuno back for a new title, or maybe the next FF because of the poor reception of FF13. and hes working on Tactics Ogre at the moment so i think they might be thinking about involving him in some way in other projects after thats done.

i actully remember hearing a while ago that fans were twittering Yoichi Wada about FF14s release date, and he responed to that request. my point being the only thing we could do as fans is request that Matsuno is reinstated as the director for the next FF or some other project. it highly unlikely it would work, but i think if the seed was planted in his mind, eventually he would consider it.

anyway... like i mentioned, i think SE will bring him back after Tactics Ogre, for maybe other projects, because of the poor reception of FF13.
