Nomura sucks. I hate his character designs and emo dudes. Bring back the Fantasy looking characters man. Amano Forever!

i must say you are generalizing
for example FFX and it's main characters.. Tidus was less emo, than many of Amano's main characters... Cecil and Terra, more emo.

Disliking his characters/look is fine. but saying incorrect things is incorrect

You realize that Amano didn't ever do any writing for any of the characters, right?

If that guy is behind III,IV, V, VI and IX then no thanks. I don't like the artstyle on those games. At all.

I am now pretty confused about those III and VI. Are they the same game or what? I think that I played VI on gba and I am  sure that I played III on ds.

Does tidus really look emo. He looks like meg ryan for christ's sake. There's comparisons out there I think :P

Cecil, terra  same book as cloud and lighting in my book emo-wise in writing and art style.

Now if you'd go on just looks, I could take cecil away but I'd Cloud and Lightning way too. Terra and Squall are definetely still  on the emo wagon.

In terms of writing? I wouldn't place Cloud, Terra, or Cecil as 'emo' - especially Cecil. He has the best reasons to be down on himself, seeing as he's committing war crimes in the name of a man he used to love.

But looks? You think this looks emo?

I'm nor talking about hand drawn art. I already said amano's is amazing, it just doesn't look the same in the games because of technology and maybe other things. I'm talking about in the game. The character icons/New CG (But that wasn't done by him) look as emo  as nomura's stuff when translated to videogame world. I've played the old/ds ones of those.

For the record the only 2 characters on looks on put as emo is squall and terra, and probably noctis. Though I may have forgotten some.
I was only trying to point out that Nomura's wasn't really that emo. And as you said the writing has a light to do with it.

Too bad that guy (view image: cecil) did not look like that on the game.

At least show a pic in his dark knight armor with the helm closed
