If you have high speed internet, you can download torrents of movies you own. It's legal.

Well, not sure if it's legal to download an unlocked movie to watch in the part of the world where you movie does not work, but the point of region locking it to try and prevent counter-fitting, not to keep paying customers from playing there legitimate movies anywhere they like.

i like my Bluray , so why did i buy it if i want to download my movies?

sold my twice repaired ylod ps3 (60gb launch) yesterday on craiglist and gonna buy the slim within a couple of weeks....or mabye try to hold out until day after thanksgiving for some crazy deal...I doubt GT3 will allow me to make it that far.

I own zero consoles right now. I sold my PS3 quite awhile back and recently sold my 360 and Wii.

I'll be buying a PS3 Slim first (most likely) and then a shiny new 360 after that. This will probably happen within the next few months.

The Wii is not getting replaced. My girlfriend has one and I had mine boxed for over a year and never missed it.

Because downloading a movie you don't own is against the law. Downloading an HD movie you own, is not.

The BD is a license so to speak. I have a file server with movies I have downloaded, that I own on DVD or BD. It's a lot more convenient to just scroll though the list on the server, and pick something I want, then it is put the disk in.

Plus I can watch it on my Mac Mini that's hooked up to my TV, and save the PS3. The drive has some life span, whatever it is. Mine as well save it.

Only six options.  Didn't have that option and it's what I would have chosen.  I've never replaced a system either.

Why is there no selection in the poll for computer gaming under "Gaming Computer or PC?

I recently purchased a new gaming laptop in the last week.

My 360 and laptop fulfill all my gaming needs. No need for a PS3 because it has the majority of the titles that the 360 does minus Uncharted, God of War, Metal Gear, Infamous, Killzone and a few others. I have absolutely no interest in a Wii at this moment.

Again, with only 6 selections for poll, I couldn't expand it any further.  Personally I don't know many PC gamers.  Just my older brother and he likes the war games.  Everyone else I know plays on consoles and that's all I've played since the days of seventh guest and some leisure suit larry.  Myst and Obsidian were pretty cool back then I remember.
