I for instance, pirate my 360 multiplats ONLY when I've already bought them for my PS3 / PC. I still legally buy PS3 games, and 360 exclusives.

You're stealing from X360. You dirty pirate :)

I don't get some people and there weird sense of entitlement to things that they have no power over. Pirates talk as if developers owe them favours or something. If you can't afford something, then don't buy it. I can't afford a Mercedes SLK, I also don't think it's worth $70,000, that doesn't automatically give me the right to steal it.

If you live in a third world country then that's your problem, not the problem of the people developing the games. If prices are to high in your country, then you should do something about it instead of stealing. Gaming is a hobby that requires a heavy investment, if you want a cheap hobby then collect bottle caps or play football instead.

Bet with Conegamer and AussieGecko that the PS3 will have more exclusives in 2011 than the Wii or 360... or something.

Comparing software to physical properties does not help your case, neither.

It'd probably be good if you gave me a reason why.

Why not, they're both property?

well i know some people only have the ps3 for the single player exclusives like infamous so it wont matter if they cant log onto psn.

And they'll change the policy to "one time activation of the game on PSN" and those people are screwed :)

Porra com esses preços, eu também vou começar a importar. Valeu mesmo pela dica!

@Nomad Blue:

I won't bother explaining to you the difference between theft and copyright infrigement. I'm sure someday someone will tell you.

I see it as theft, though I admit in a court of law it would be copyright infringement.  You're still committing an illegal act though, and your excuses for doing so are bullshit.

Try checking out other piracy related threads. It's been dabated to death.

Or by just the word itself. Piracy.

If it's theft, why it is called piracy and not theft?

if you buy a $400 console i think games should be around $40, then maybe id be them. even then, its so easy to steal online; music, videos, games ect. I would rather get free virtual stuff and get away without paying, and use that money to go to something more worth while. Who cares if its stealing, millions of other people do the exact same thing. It's mainstream. As for stealing real objects.. thats a differnet story.

You didn't answer the question...

Piracy is theft in the same way as car jacking is theft. It's just a different type of terminology to brand different types of theft.
