Forums - Sony - can you upgrade PS3 (Phat) harddrive?

I have the original 80gig backwards compatible Motorstorm PS3. I always have to delete demos and movies, so I was hoping for a bigger harddrive. Now that we can get games on our harddrive, I wanna get a bunch of games on there, as well as a bunch of movies that I want.

So my question is, how and what type of harddrive could you replace it with? And could it cause any problems to my PS3?

also would i be able to sell my 80gig harddrive after?

correct me if I am wrong
stop me if I am bias
I love a good civilised debate (but only if we can learn something).

Yes you can,  it only takes about 10-15 minutes to replace.   I dont know about selling your old one though.   I dont know how you would be able to format it so a computer can it,  when I replaced mine I couldnt get my computer to even recognize it has a HDD.
