the 3rd party just won't lead the tech power as they would be handling 2 games.now if 360 first party and exlcusives themselves haven't done that good how do you expect the multiplats to do a better job than single console devs

and if GT5 was up your list,you just won't keeop it with REACH.

yes REACH's is getting praise but praise doesn't always mean it the best.it can also mean that its just a good game.

you braggin about scale and size is again just not that big as you are hyping it to be

and now you are taking the help of media outlets,hell GTA4 was big and a dissapointment and those media outlets gave them perfect scores

That was a time when I was simply trying to push 360 exclusives in the limelight. I admitted that.

This is entirely different.

Firstly Rage came out of E3 as pretty much king ding. And that was the 360 version let alone the PS3 version. 

Crysis 2 wasnt far behind. And still yet may take the cake. Bulletstorm wasn't truly shown off well at E3. But is getting HUGE amounts of praise from GC10. Huge amounts.

Surprisingly so is LOS. That was a surprise. Apparantly there was a 20 minute demo, that had everyone surprised at how good it was technically.

Even if you disagree with me and push for PS3 exclusives to stay top thats fine. 

I'm sure that both me and you can agree with each other that the gap for top tech achievement is very very small these days with 3rd party devs in the mix now.

I'd like t add, I am talking civily here. It's cool if not everyone agrees with me. But thats why we have talking points no. :)

Why?

GT5 looks great. It's lighting is very realsitic. And car models awesome. But environments have lots of low textures and the awesome lighting covers alot. 

As mentioned by IGN. Theres alot of clever things GT5 does to hide the faults. Trees, completely 2d signs etc. 

But what it achieves still impresses me.

And on the flip side. Having the size of the battles Reach has with those massive playable levels and high quality visuals definately has people impressed in the technical achievement. 

I'm not referring to how good the game will be. Cmon man you know that. 

I'm referring to technical achievements of the engine.

GTA4 certainly didnt impress me in that area. Hell I think MAfia 3 kills it technically.

remember, the game runs 16M polygons just in the 16 cars on track.

as i said, the game looks AWESOME, almost at the same level of uncharted 2 imo.

I am just not gonna bother anymore here. 

Lets face it I made a rod for my own back in the past. So now even when I praise games like 3rd party games I get a grilling. LOL. Understandably.

I show GT5 alot of gratitude to and am impressed by it. Even that isnt enough. Is it because it's not sitting pretty at the top? Who knows.

But yeah forget anymore technical talk from me on this site from now on. My history here knocks judgement to much.

don't worry about my comment, i was just saying why they could be using 2d stuff, they can't afford much more polygons than that.

it seems that you're automatically marked as a 360 fanboy or something, it's pretty silly, since you're pretty much right with the stuff you say almost all the time...thing is that your overreaction (i guess you most of us can't hold the excitement :P) to that stuff gives them power to destroy every thread that you made...

but anyways, don't worry about them, they've to get used to your lovely reactions ^^ xD

@Selnor:  You do hype the shit out of almost every upcoming games that happen to be pretty looking.

Like those websites used to do everytime there was a new good game coming up (some of them still do it, actually). 

It's kind of immature, me think.  But that might just be me.

I used to do that when I was much younger.  I don't know...  I don't think many of those games you're hyping deserve that much praise before you even played the game.

It's just kind of difficult for me to grasp the fact that someone hyping those games like you do all the time, and in the manner that you do it, is actually 27 years old.

I do get excited about many games (Versus, Killzone 3, GT 5, inFamous 2, and to a lesser extant Reach), but I don't see the point in hyping them like they're the second coming of Christ (or is it the third?).

But like some other user pointed out, I guess once you get used to that attitude of yours, it can get kinda cute...
