Forums - Microsoft - Microsoft Responds to Mass Effect 2 Jumping Ship says ME1 still exclusive!

I can't wait to play this, should be awesome. Also, the major portions of story from the 1st part will probably be included as part of there intro to the story. Anything is possible though, and i am thinking with my ninja gaiden sigma 2 hat here.

I think PS3 owners should write to EA en masse so they release ME1&2 together on one Blu Ray disc. ME2 just won't be the same without experiancing ME1. No importing character and decisions over to ME2 and all that, no awesome reaper story etc etc. It's not fair.

Wow, I just saw you complain about this in another thread, where OP's post clearly said that Microsoft funded and published ME1, and would never let up exclusivity rights for the title. Sending EA pointless letters like an idiot won't change that.

To be fair, it's terrifying to think what idiots who'd even consider this could be doing otherwise, so encourage them...

WTF is up with VG chartz??? All that posted here was a bunch of messed up HTML code.

How is it an Xbox 360 exclusive when it's also on the PC (and arguably in a better version)?

Because the PC is not an exclusive...and may I remind you, the only operating systen it is meant to bve played on is a MS one, so it is a Console Exclusive, and a MS Exclusive.

Anyway, ME2 will sell millions of Xbox360 to PS3 owners!!!!! ; )

Um, what?

Ugh, This is stupid, if this post doesn't come out right, I'm gonna find the servers hosting VG charts and burn them!

Anyway, my post was all messed up, I'm not even sure what I was trying to say there. XD

What I meant to say was that A PC is NOT a console, Which makes ME a console exclusive, which means that it is an exclusive. And if you really can't understand that simple fact, then I have another one for you. ME on the PC was designed to play on a MS operating system, which also means it's exclusive to MS porducts, which means it is a MS exclusive.

Except it's not, because a Windows emulator, or Wine, on Linux will probably be able to play the ME games on a non-Windows PC, if not now then at some point in the future. It might have been meant to be a Windows exclusive, but it really can't be. In that respect you're right that PC's really aren't consoles.

Whoever finds that terrifying must still be wearing nappies (diapers) and sucking on dummies.

I suppose MS is right than. If you want to experience the full ME experience (on console) than 360 it is than. Also come DF comparison I reckon it will perform worse on PS3. But will have better sound and of course on playable from a single disc.

^^^this.  I suppose M$ will point out that the only way to get the full MGS experience is on the PS3 when MGS:Rising comes out.  They should have just kept their mouth shut.  It looks really pathetic to even comment on it.

"And the original Mass Effect is absolutely an Xbox 360 exclusive, making Xbox 360 the only place to get the full Mass Effect experience"

They haven't heard of the PC ?

Let me fix that for you MS PR person...

And the original Mass Effect is absolutely an Xbox 360 console exclusive, making Xbox 360 the only console to get the full Mass Effect experience"

Much better...
