Forums - Gaming - Is FPS all that's left from the Arcade on PS3/360?

The whole ting is a reverse thread. It was made to mask a state of mind as a question. So when it was created, the answer was already "Nintendo" and the convoluted maze of questions to answer were nothing more than dead ends in the maze made to direct everyone right there. This is why it's full of massive contradictions and why the guidelines are strict to the point that only Nintendo could come out the end. Even when the OP realizes that under his own criteria LittleBigPlanet and Halo are going to count, he asks us to simply ignore them. There's no reason as to why, we're just simply asked to do so in an attempt to keep the answer strictly Nintendo.

To play along with this game though, Kinect and it's lineup of games match all criteria. There's already been a ridiculous amount of money pumped into advertising, the games are pick up and play and hold arcade sensibilities, they aren't downloadable, and they fit into the same genres many of the applicable Wii games fit into. Knowing Pyro though, he'll just complain that they haven't sold 10M copies each.

Athis does a good job explaining.  i do believe innovation in the arcade format is foung in casual area.  I also would pitch my caders group regarding thid

Those are exactly the kind of games that I was explaining.

Even they know they are released through XBLA and PSN as mentioned in the video, but the OP won't let us include them.

I also don't know many games like that on the Wii that have big marketing pushes, not to mention they are also found in the Wii Shop channel.

years ago, arcade style games were what sold.  the killer app was the home version.  now, none of these types sell 10 million and it is folly to lead with them.  if they mattered, microsoft would back game room better.
