If it's feasible for you, I recommend playing together with someone who is a bit experienced, on 2vs2 while talking on teamspeak, preferably with the same race.
Then you can discuss what you're doing at that moment, do some rushes together, defend from rushes...
The first few matches can be frustrating (especially the placement matches where you're pitted against opponents which are mostly more experienced than you), but after a few days you will be having lots of fun.
