Forums - Gaming - So was it worth picking up a 360 again?

As some of you may know I rid myself of a 360 2 years back... Mostly to RROD.   I was left to the PS3 and Wii.   After coaxing and a deal I couldn't turn down.  I decided to jump back in.  Was it worth it? Ehhhh.  L4D2 is a blast and looking forward to Halo Reach.  What's remaining that is not offered on the PS3?  Let me review:

Online -- hmmm well the Live is great but I do not see why its worth the price.  I am satisfied jumping online and kicking @ss for free. Not sure what is the real deal breaker for paying for it. Social service maybe?  But most average people can do that on their phones now.  The party system? I think Sony has caught up.  Granted cross game chat is not there for PS3 but after listening to most kiddos in the rooms I mostly do not wear my headset.  Honestly, why am I listening to an a 14 year old say every curse word they would not dare say in public?  This is not age discrimination but the fact it is a group of kids who over run the service.  Yet there is a reason I do not go to HOME on PS3.....

Hardware-..... honestly not sure which fan is louder. But I do like the fact if the ps3 dies I can use the HD on something else.

Graphics- really if you are going to compare you minus well not play games.  There are many incredible games out there without the graphics. Some with the graphics are just terrible.

Controller - The X wins

Over all ease of use - Ps3.  I do not need to fill out and make sure my accounts to go online constantly up to date. If I forget my gamer tag I do not need a whole other system, Windows live name, to recover.  Blu Ray...

As you can see I  dislike the fact I have to pay for online gaming.  Its dumb. Makes me wonder how Dreamcast didn't take off (Dial up....).

It all boils down to---------Why the hell do you not own both?  Honestly? Great games for each and unique system interfaces.  Neither system is better.  What you pay for is what you get. You make the call.

So all and all see you on both systems:
