Yeah I said I was wrong that " Other reviewers " didnt give it best graphics of the gen. How does that show I was disappointed? I also remember the Meta thread to. Do you know that for whatever reason over 20 perfect scores are missing from Meta for Alan Wake?
Anyways, my personal opinion of the game surpassed it's hype. And it's the best game of the genre by far. It's quite wrong that mainstream media give Resi 5 above 90 and not to Alan Wake. When it's clear Resi 5 disappointed everyone. Hell go through my Live friends and you see everyone with about 90 Gamerscore for Resi 5. But over 500 for Alan Wake. Shows that people never bothered finishing Resi 5. Alan Wake achieved what it set out to do. Make me hooked. Also to many reviewers were way to harsh on the graphics side of Alan Wake. Many ( I'll use IGN as an example ) said the lighting was the best out there. Said the effects were the best out there. Said the open world draw distance was amazing. They only had some gripes with some low res textures on some daytime scenes and some low poly characters with odd lipsyncing. Now knowing the game as I do, those things are minor compared to what the game has graphically. Yes Alan Wake 2 will undoubtedly fix these grpahics as Remedy have an extra 30% power to play with on their engine for Alan Wake 2. It will be very much like Uncharted 1 and 2. 1 was about as good as the rest around with some hiccups in graphics. 2 ironed them out and found the balance with the same engine. That in essence is how Alan Wake 2 will pan out. Anyways. Alan Wake had an amazing story, awesome tension and fantastic visuals. It had me glued from start to finish and Silent Hill and Resi need to take note. Because Remedy beat you guys. |
point taken.
atleast i can say you were disapointed that the reviewers were harsh, and i agree with you.
Being in 3rd place never felt so good
