Forums - Gaming - Developer drops 5000 competitor Guitars into Volcano

hmm doesn't that mean they buy 5000 of their competitors product? Thus supporting the product they think sucks.

That's a really stupid idea. Maybe it gets them  how ever much it costs worth of publicity.

Well done, very entertaining. I would laugh out loud if someone ever do it for real consoles, like dropping a thousand Wiis into the Kilauea.

really cool marketing idea, probably cost alot less then a 'standard' ad campaign. Too bad Rock Band 3 will destroy it anyway.

They "dislike" their competition so much that they bought 5'000 of their products?

wow, that must have cost a lot of money!

What a waste...and couldn't this cause an eruption.

No way in hell. It's harder to cause an eruption than they want you to think so you can suck up some lame disaster movies. Maybe a very massive bomb could, if there is pressure under the surface (if you got an unstable caldera), but other than that I see no way.

...see, otherwise terrorists would be dropping plastic guitars in volcanoes like crazy.
