Well, when I was around that age I used to stay home all day long, didn't have many friends and didn't like getting new friends either... and I also hated playing with other kids during breaks at school so I stayed alone as much as I could... and didn't like talking to people either.

So, that might explain why I liked him :P I remember I even wanted to have a scar in my face just like his. LOL xD

no th plot ov FF8 ws written by movie script writers, squre hired them jst for FF8. tht is why FF8 plot is very complex and mature, lots ov ppl jst didnt undrstand it and got angry becaus of tht. Ther are lots ov ways u can intepret plot ov FF8.

I always say FF8 was too ahead ov its time to be liked. It gave u freedom like no othr FF.

There is a big difference between complex and convoluted, FF8 is the latter.

While reading up on X-Blades (I just bought it for $14), I found out that Gunblades are real.  Good for them.

Its quality isn't guarunteed simply by being written by screenwriters from the movie idustry (of which, many are horrible). I did a quick searh though and couldn't find anything on this - if you could tell me or direct me where to look, that's be great.

I'm fairly sure you're vehemently negative toward anything Final Fantasy XII; begrudging anyone who likes it. Judging from your perspective toward VIII and its criticisms, one would think you'd be a little bit more understanding of a FFXII fan... Anyhow, that's probably taking it too far off-topic.

There are shitty games that I love and good games that I hate.  I can acknowledge this.  Now, I can accept people's opinion on wheter or not a game is worth buying or not.  It's called making an informed decision.  What I absolutely will not do is ask people if I should continue playing a game that I'm not enjoying.  If you're not having fun, play something else.  If you are, keep on playing.  At the end of the day, no matter what people on the internet say, it's your time.

Hard to say, like others said if you are not having fun with it then stop playing it.  When I played it, it was the "newest" FF out there, and being a huge FF fan I played it.  Looking back it definitely was not the best in the series (I'd have to give that nod to FFIX) also FFVI and FFIV are probably the best 3 ever, with 13 coming in at #4 in my opinion.

Go play 9, then 4 then 6 :P

I'm playing FF IX at the moment, kinda swapping between this, Demon's Souls and Heavy Rain depending on my mood. It's my first ever foray into FF, I'm liking it well enough, though I'm not raving on it. I'm very early in the game still, as I've only just got to the Ice Cavern so I can't really judge it fairly yet.

I made a thread a while ago asking for advice on whether to get VII or VIII as my first FF experience and many people said go for IX rather than either of the other 2, so who was I to ignore the weight of opinion of those who are into FF games.

I don't think I'm going to be a FF convert, but I'll probably appreciate FF at arms length. I'll probably borrow FFXIII off my nephew at some stage to give it a whirl. FFVsXIII may be more my style but I'll wait and see on that to decide. Lots of other PS3 games I'm anticipating that may well put VsXIII on the never never unless it gets amazing reviews (certainly gotta get better reviews than FFXIII to make me consider buying it).
