Hey! You can't hear any gunfire when you are in space because the lack of Oxygen ... right?

also that tower level is exactly what someone on the forum wanted to make on the Forge 2.0 , it looks fun.

True, but didn't you notice how muffled the gunfire sounds because it's heard from inside the helmet.

btw, are the bullets affected by gravity if you're in outer space in this map?

i don't think so,  bullets move as fast in space as they are in earth , it was tested before and the reason that Gravity doesn't effect a bullet until it reaches a certain speed.

also the muffled gunfire sound make it sound like its underwater than outerspace, i don't really know how guns sound (or don't sound) in space, but they MIGHT have them just for the sake of knowing that your being shot at, of course games shouldn't be realistic.

But underwater's atmosphere is kinda similar to outerspace or so I think it is. I watched this one documentry where astronauts were training underwater because it has a somewhat similar gravity. and yes games shouldn't be completly realistic.

Man, watching these videos are making me wonder how space battle will look in Killzone 3.

it has the same feel but remember Water is a physical matter, so sounds can travel through it, in space there is no physical matter so sounds can't travel without having oxygen between them

I live for the sword, the steel, and the gun...

That is not a remake of Midship.  Just similar aesthetically.

Dude your worse than me. LOL.

This looks incredible.

Seriously September 14th is possibly the best date of gaming this gen.

haha I'm a long term Halo fan is all.

Read every single book.

Played every game at launch.

Visit Bungie.net daily.

I just love Halo.

So do I.

I have every collectors edition. And Legendary Halo 3. All the books, and a good collection of Series 1 2 and 3 of the figures. Including the £400 glass made Grunt Series 2 special Edition figure.

Lack of air all together for sound to travel through.

All bullet weapons use hitscan so the bullet impacts within the reticule as soon as you press the trigger. No bullet travel is simulated so you don't need to lead your shots which is better imo. Obviously rockets etc need to be lead and have physics.

You would hear nothing in space unless the sound was coming from inside your suit vacuum. In game though that would be boring and a pain in the ass when firing or being shot at. I'd rather hear a muffled sound.

I'd venture a guess that there is a small amount of atmosphere  in that area. That would allow for the gun and other sounds but would leave a further question: how can the atmosphere be contained?

Perhaps with shielding, a limited amount of atmosphere can be contained outside the ship.

Exactly the same here. Halo CE is the reason I bought the original Xbox. The books are amazing and anyone who says the story in Halo is simple has not read them.

100% truth.  The vastness of Halo's plot is unbelievable.  Its lore actually stretches as far back as well over 100,000 BC.  Ghosts of Onyx is one of my favorite of the novels.

"Spartans never die.  They just go missing in action."

Yeah, when I played the first 2 Halo games, I wiki'ed the series to look up a few things I didn't understand from the game. The depth of the Halo universe, the species in particular, astounded me.
