Mockbusters are all good, especially when played straight. A mockbuster of one of the films I like least is even better.

Well, the good news is that this does not have any connection whatsoever with James Cameron's film.

Ok for a moment I thought you were joking, even though you put "no joke" in the title.  However I did a search on google and I actually found the website for the movie:  http://www.theasylum.cc/product.php?id=174.  According to the site the DVD is being released August 24, 2010 and the movie is set in April 2012, 100 years to the day of the first Titanic's sinking.  I don't know why a production company would think that making a Titanic II was a good idea, even if it's released straight to DVD.  I suppose they may be looking for a quick buck of sorts but I think that may fail as well.  I don't see many people buying this movie, especially if someone loved or even just liked Titanic (1997).

I loved Titanic (1997) and it's one of my favorite movies ever!  Just because you didn't like it doesn't mean I'm going to be angry at you.  I've learned that everyone has different tastes in movies, music, food, and etc.  Everyone is entitled to enjoy what they want, even if it's not the same things as me.  In return, I would hope that someone wouldn't ridicule me just because I loved the movie and they didn't.

No, when somebody insults Titanic I brutally murder them while listening to My Heart Will Go On. I'm the basis for the villain on the next season of Dexter: The Tearjerker Killer. A basket filled with tear-drenched tissues is my signature.
