I expect it to be somewhat doable to implement on gaming by 2017-2020 in a hypotethical ninth generation of consoles.

It will be the last big step before VR at the late 20's.

Wouldn't buy it.

Won't let anything mess with my brain. Who knows what the long term consequences might be?

Evan used one of these things at GDC and E3. I'm not sure if it was this one or not, but he said it worked great. He controlled a fan with his brain and exploded some barrels.

It doesnt mess with your brain at all. It just measures the electricity around your brain. And if this thing is calibrated it can recognize what you are thinking off thats just all.

BTW everything does affect your brain. If you eat watch TV do Sports or play videogames all is affecting your brain.

I've seen people play tetris and pong using similar technology. It's cool stuff, even though the techology needs some refinement.

Are there any videos of the E3 one? Did they give any kind of estimate of when we might be seeing actual games using this tech?

Currently playing: Gran Turismo 5
Just finished:
Infamous 2

Control with just your brain... sounds interesting. Should keep an eye on this, but I guess we won't see this in the next console gen.
