I agree. I know there is a need for regionality, particularly around selling the stuff, but Sony takes it to crazy levels.
I just don't know why they don't have a single update for themes, trailers, etc. that is global. Gamers always want to check out everything and in fact they could save money this way (not that I want to put someone out of a job but having different teams uploading a film trailer in different countries onto a digital website is plain silly).
Then there's HOME and their crazy, fragmented approach to that.
And that's just the easy pickings. Boy, the ways I can see to improve PSN.
I have a US account but I agree I shouldn't need to.
