Bet you thought this was a troll thread...Nope.

So went to Macy's in Chicago today and the family gave Kinect a whirl.  We (5 of us, dad, mom and 3 boys) hung around for about 1.5 hours and tried it with other people.  Dress appropriatly means it is best to be wearing clothes that you dont mind working up a sweat in.  My workout shorts would have been far more appropriate. 

Since my wife and I have been on task to lose weight this year (I have lost nearly 60 and she has lost nearly 30) we purchase heart rate monitor to see how given tasks boost the heart rate and burn the calories.  My typical workout gets me heart in the 130 range when doing cardio and 100-115 when doing resistance.   Kinect games put the ticker in the 115-155 range (155 being the hurdles game).

As for the games we had a great time with Kinect Adventures, Kinect Sports and Joy Ride.  Kinectimals is kinda gimped in the demo with no voice or activities to do with your cat.  My 8 year old son had a grand old time with it and a couple of girls about his age just loved it.

If your in Chicago the Macys on State Street has Kinect in the Juniors department right off the elevator.  Lots of moms, women and young girls walking through. 

Yep Kinect games will definately give the players a good workout
