It was less than $100 shipped on pre-order from Toys R Us, so I ordered one.
Wasn't planning on getting it right away and with nothing I see myself playing for the first 6-12 months after Kinect debuts, it will probably stay unplugged after the initial review for quite some time, but unless Kinect completely tanks, I don't see the kits being much less than $99 a year from now anyway.
I still think it should be priced about $60 sold separately, but MS has spent a lot of money and effort hyping Kinect and I'm sure the strategy is to get as many people to buy it at an inflated price as possible (at least through the holidays) before they have to drop the price.
