Sure dualshock/sixasix does really good job but some moves are pretty difficult to execute. Arcade stick makes it much easier. It's like playing with keyboard and mouse against pad in FPS. You are able to focus on the fight exclusively. It's good for your thumbs too.

yeah i guess. i'm hopeless at some of those combos in DOA (ryu's izuna drop) and pulling off the special moves in street fighter is always a hit and miss for me. but those sticks are REALLY pricey.

Don't troll. No one was suggesting anything like that and that was completely unnecessary. You don't seem to want to stay unbanned for long do you?

These type of plastic sticks are always terrible, you should get an X-arcade.
The problem I have with arcade sticks like the one you pictured is they are so light that during rigorous gameplay they move about and lift up which effects my game.

I have one for my pc + you can buy adaptors for other consoles.
I still however prefer it for MAME games.
$130:

I've used both the X-Arcade and the Real Arcade Pro sticks. The Real Arcade Pro stick leaves the X-Arcade in the dust. It is far, far more responsive and being Japanese it makes the slight clicky noise when you hit the directional inputs so you know when you've hit the input right. They buttons are also cirsply responsive and the curve fits perfectly with the way your fingers are arranged. Furthermore the Real Arcade Pro is not by any means light. Unless you're absolutely flailing about when you play, it is not going to move on you.
I have competed in several fighting game tournaments and without fail every single person I've asked has agreed that the Real Arcade Pro is the best stick around. I have one myself and it's worth every penny.

I have no experience at all with regards to the Real Arcade Pro sticks, there is so much rubbish out there similar to these sticks I avoid this kind altogether now.
I do like the X-arcade because of it's lifetime warranty and can be easily opened to add different types of buttons.
I've owned mine for about 6 years and never had a problem with any of the controls.
I have never used it with a PS3 however so I do not know if it is suitable for the games you want to play.
You could always try it for 30 days as it does have a 30 day money back guarantee.
