Not really all that surprising if true. Sony's going to want to maximize the game's potential by avoiding people possibly importing. I was all but ready to import the Japanese version back before they cancelled the March release. This should noticeably increase the game's first week in EMEAA since it will have 3 or 4 days to sell rather than just 1.

Didn't all GT games have the same launch date WW ?

no i dont see any supply probs as of late may here where im at, maybe all those supply issues was sony saving consoles for the holidays the biggst sales period of the year, you know like they did last year during the holidays when they hit over 900k back to back

maybe or maybe sony didnt want to produce many of the cech 2001 skus back in jan-may that cost more to make than the recently release 2100s and 2500s

Still none in stores around here (None at BB, Gamestop I was at this morning, or the Target I went to earlier).  It is kind of amazing actually, almost like they are intentially dropping the brick/mortar amounts saving stock for later (they are still available from BB.com, Amazing/target, etc).

How they think they can meet their 15m projection when they do not supply enough units is anyones guess.

OT: If they do release a good deal of systems for GT launch, it will be massive.

Why doesnt Sony make millions of more PS3s? Sure it may be kind of pricey at first, but they'll all sell. And if there making profit on each one sold, they'd making  lots in the long run, and getting a larger install base
