Sent a old 360 console in for repair and recieved a new Slim? I have a refurb pro sitting around because the standard warranty expired but I think I can make them take it in on the "E74 extenstion". I know they stopped making old consoles but they might have repaired ones sitting around. On the same note has anyone with an old PS3 recieved the PS3 Slim like this? I want to know to see if companies do update your models when you send them in.

As for the Ps3 part if you send in the brocken PS3 you will recieve the exact model you sent in (it was new though). I got the exact 80 g ps3 phat with four ps3 ports I origanally paid for and I was happy. No idea about the 360.

If they gave new consoles for old ones they would have everyone purposely RROD'ing their old 360's.

I wish, that's why I'm not buying a new 360, until they get cheaper, or have another game that blows my mind. I've had 2 RROD's so I'm not going to pay microsoft 150 dollars for another white one. when from my experience it will break again relatively soon.

There isn't a arcade black xbox360 slim is there? It would be reasonable as I still want to finish lost odyssey as well as play fable III.

Can you use the hard drive on your old 360 and put it on the black one. I think they're different unfortunately correct?

A slim arcade will drop in august, and no, you can't use your existing HDD, but if you snag a 16GB pendrive you can copy the entire contents of a 20GB HDD to it.
