We'll see when Black Ops comes out, if it wasn't for his over aggresiveness for exploiting franchises Activision may have never had even come this far.  

You mean when he got to add Blizzard to his stable of studios which made him look really really good?

He's been incharge since the 90s, you remember what happened to a similar company named Acclaim? They had alot of franchises but the man in charge didn't know how to manage them. Kotick has an evily iron grip on his franchises and knows what goes where.

These are the companies I have complete and utter respect for in the industry:

Nintendo: Best game developer by far and as console manufactuers aren't a bunch of utter knobs

Treasure: They're kick arse

Team Ico: SotC, enough said

Matrix Software: For actually doing a better job with their games than their publisher, Square-Enix

Level 5: DQ IX, Prof Layton, Dark Cloud and they have now set up their own Western publishing house

As for individual people:

Miyamoto: Mario, Zelda, Pikmin, Wii...., etc

Iwata: All the right business moves with Nintendo

Nubuo Oematsu: Creates arguably the best soundtracks in any games

Sakaguchi: Simply awesome

Sakurai: I love Smash Bros and Kirby and Kid Icarus Uprising looks very good as well

Eric Chahi, Suda51, Shigeru Miyamoto, Will Wright, Alexei Pajitnov, Gaijin Games, and Gunpei Yokoi forever.  I probably forgot a few people though.
