Is Devil Hunter A New Shin Megami Tensei Spinoff?

Atlus Japan has been quiet. Aside from a on-paper-only list of Nintendo 3DS games and Trauma Team we haven’t heard much from the head office.

Perhaps, one of their internal teams is developing Devil Hunter. Atlus trademarked the term in Japan this past June. The listing just showed up in the trademark database today. Devil Hunter kind of sounds like a Megaten spinoff, like Devil Survivor or Soul Hackers (pictured), doesn’t it?

In addition to Devil Hunter, Atlus Japan also trademarked Gungnir and Radiant Historia. We’re still waiting for news on those.

* My money says a Monster Hunter Clone
