Forums - Sony - 25 Minute Video of Home

The big appeal of this software is that you can 'visit' other people's homes, right? You and your buddies, chilling and chatting in a virtual space. Closest analogue would be Second Life, rather than Sims.

Or maybe I'm misinformed.

they should use points given from achievements to buy stuff like furniture, it would be great, you spend all day getting achievements so you can "play the sims" with your points...

Infinite furniture maybe?  That would be of great use incase of Zombie attack.

I would be amused to simply fly around for a while as giant block.

I wonder if you can stack the blocks.  I forsee Home block-mazes if so.

Very impressive. From early reports, people made it seem like it was huge when everyone was saying I don't want to have to walk everywhere and all that jazz but I like how it is not too big or not too small... Great how you can warp everywhere, character and house customization awesome, free arcade games, theater looks cool, love how trailers play like in real life when you walk around.

that still looks pretty boring. i really don't see the fun in home.

Yea looks like a sims kind of application. All the games you can play looks pretty cool.

Overall its not as "unique" as I thought they were hyping it to be. It looks like the Sims mixed witht he minigames from GTA San Andreas. But its free so I wouldnt complain.

I wonder what the actual released PS Home will be since this is only the beta. It looks so awesome already.

It just looks more like a revamped version of The Sims from Will Wrights. I really see no reason in owning a PS3 just primarily to play this add-on. It looks cool but I can wait for Will Wrights to release The Sims 3.

Knowing that that series is better.

Hm... that just gave me a great idea. Imagine this. Sony states that people should be on home at a certain time to witness an event. That event? A zombie outbreak. Hundreds of Zombies lay siege to home, leaving you the task of staying alive. If you're bitten, you're dude becomes a zombie and you lose control of him, but can still watch what he does. This goes on until everyone is dead or a certain time period.

If sony could introduce enough interesting concepts and do things like that, home would become a HUGE drawing point.

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Chrizum is the best thing to happen to the internet, Period.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.

Home is looking pretty cool, but the mini-games and PSN/XMB integration is what is catching my interest the most.
