Forums - Sony - Jack Trenton:puts failure of PS3 on early shortages and long unavailability

Well, there might have been that demand at launch.
But once it launched ... and people realized that it was not all that they thought it was and there were no games for it ... they lost interest.

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.

The Sony trolls need to lighten up period. So your beloved company is obviously run by suits that are so full of it they could fertilize the Sahara. This has become a constant theme throughout the entire year, and it has become somewhat of a running gag. The original poster is just letting Sony bash themselves. The more nonsense they spew the less credible they are taken.

A wise man once said there is a sucker born every minute. Who do you think lined up to buy PS3s? The problem was that after a couple weeks they ran out of suckers. Anyone who really wanted the PS3 could have lasted the two weeks until the next shipment. They didn't actually exhaust the original shipment. I have pointed this out many times. Anyone who ever wanted a PS3 at any time could have gotten one at retail. You just had to take a little time to look. Here is a hint just don't shop at the popular stores.

The problems were obvious the Wii was much cooler. The 360 was more established. The PS3 had few games and was damned expensive. For that kind of money you might as well take the plunge and pick up a high definition television, or a personal computer, or even a used car. All far more responsible, and rational choices.

Sometimes its so easy I am ashamed of myself. How can the Sony fanatics possibly defend their console when the corporate executives are nothing but stooges full of hot air. Hell Larry, Moe, and Curly could do a better job. You could after all pretend that they are not serious. You know this is a real problem with Sony someone needs to reign these fools in, and just tell them to shut up. They cannot even spin properly.

The only PR Wii60 fans would like from Sony is "We are sorry to inform you that we are pulling out of the market due to expenses and competition..." Right? I always remember the time Peter Moore said, "Sony is the loser in Japan, not us" and "3-5 % failure rate"

For alot of people, they must have trouble sleeping at night knowing people like me are enjoying the PS3, along with my 360, and Wii in the future.

Microsoft is providing alot this generation, but I'm sure as hell not going to submit to a software manufacturer that is providing only crappy products since Windows 95 was released.  A convicted monopolist as well - maybe that's why Japan and most of Europe doesn't buy from them.

"Naturally the common people don't want war: Neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, IT IS THE LEADERS of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is TELL THEM THEY ARE BEING ATTACKED, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. IT WORKS THE SAME IN ANY COUNTRY."  --Hermann Goering, leading Nazi party member, at the Nuremberg War Crime Trials

LOL what a tool. Maybe if half the cost of the ps3 wasnt for blu-ray player, that most gamers dont want or need. Serves sony right for forcing a expensive format on gamers.

Not to mention wii has supply problem to this day, but ppl arent rushing to buy a ps3.
