One of my favrites. Not as gud as FF8 or FF7 but compard to th other most recent FF Final Fantasy 12, I liked ff13 hundred times more than ff12.

It wasn't that good to be honest. I felt it was extremely boring for a JRPG, the combat wasn't exactly bad but it was pretty much decent. Story, well I stopped giving a damn about the story 20 hours in and it wasn't that interesting to begin with, not to mention the god-awful pacing of it. the characters weren't all that bad(except for vanille) but they're not exactly memorable in the same time. surprisingly, the voice acting was decent for a JRPG(except for vanille), especially Lightning's and Sazh's V.A.

What I really hated about FF13 is its extreme linearity. Now I hate throwing the "linearity" card because there are a lot of RPGs I like that are also linear but at least those games allow me to have freedom, exploration and interacitivity with the world. FF13 offers none.

It's not the worst JRPG I've played but It's definetly one of the weakest.

Vanille is nowhere near as annoying in Japanese, the game is a better experience in Japanese VO in general unless you are not OK without English VO.

Actually, I don't mind Japanese voice acting at all and I would've appreciated if they included Japanese in the game but I only played the english version. Still, even if her japanese V.A is superior, that still doesn't change the fact that her english counterpart sucks donkey balls.

hope is bettr in english VA and so is sazh. I hve played both versions. (1up reviewer also sed he liked hope more in english version becaus of VA).

Lightning is gud in both, snow is gud in both, fang is gud in both. Its only vanille who is definetly much bettr in jpnese.

Bt the reason for tht is she is a japanese chracter, ther are girls like vanille in jpn. so it is easier for voice actor.

The FF series have always had a special place in my heart, and i do highly enjoy XIII.yes the linearity kinda killed it but about 30 hours into it you got to branch out a bit.  there really werent that many side quests which disappointed me.  If you look at other FF games you have blitzball, cactuar games, card games, extreme caverns in which were perfect for leveling up, the list goes on.  Now unless someone can correct me, the only real side quests in FFXIII are the marks.  what a bore!

I found because of the voice acting, it took a little more for me to become acquainted with the characters.  i found all of them to be important (aside from Sazh in many cases) and loved the music, graphics, and the story.  Is it just me or are Fang and Vanille lesbians?  I just wanted more side quests and odd jobs to fill in my time.

At this point in time i got stuck on one of the later marks, and just havent picked it back up for fear that i'll never beat that stupid mark (i forget which one at the moment).  i was so excited to play that game when it came out that i played through it so fast and now barely remember the story and how it unfolded. It now just sits on my shelf like an old toy that i dont play with anymore.   bummer..........im gonna play it tonight.

I only picked it up less than a week ago.  Barely onto the second dvd.  So far I like FF TCB for the Wii better, and I was kinda disappointed in that (still a good game, was just hoping for more).  Maybe a 7.5 out of 10, but considering I don't utterly dislike it, and I have a long ways to go, I could see that changing to an 8.5 if things improve later in the game.

It's simply the best JRPG this gen. There's not a lot of competition though.

Seriously, I understand it's your opinion and that it will inevitably differ from mine, but are you really saying that FFXIII is superior to all these games?:

Dragon Quest IV, V & VI DS

Final Fantasy III and IV DS

Fantasy Fantasy Tactics A2

Xenoblade

Tales of Graces

Tales of Symphonia 2

Tales of Vesperia

Star Ocean: TLH

TWEWY

Mario & Luigi PiT and BIS

Pokemon D/P/Pt/HG/SS

Lost Oddesey

Blue Dragon

Chrono Trigger DS

Dragon Quest IX

Dragon Quest Monsters Joker & Joker 2

Fire Emblem SD and PoR

Final Fantasy: 4HoL

Disgaia: 1 2 ports and 3

Final Fantasy Tactics: WotL

and probably loads more I have forgotten.

Even if you  exclude the ports/remakes, IMO the likes of FF Tactics A2 and Mario&Luigi Bowser's Inside Story are far far superior to FFXIII

Anyway on topic, I though FFXIII was good but not great.  Nowhere near the masterpieces that were Final Fatantasies IV-VI and not quite as good but still awesome VII - IX

I think the game does not deserve to have the name Final Fantasy

Nobody's perfect. I aint nobody!!!

Killzone 2. its not a fps. it a FIRST PERSON WAR SIMULATOR!!!! ..The true PLAYSTATION 3 launch date and market dominations is SEP 1st

I have very, very few positive feelings about this game anymore. None of the characters have stuck with me, I can barely remember the storyline, and the locations were utterly forgettable. My strongest emotions are a general sympathy towards the combat system and utter revulsion at the voicework/dialog.

the game wasnt bad but was defintely dissapointing. I expected so much more from the team that brought me FFVII and FFX. The only thing that saves it is gran pulse which is where the game finally gets good. But having to suffer 25 hours of tutorials is not something i find rather enjoyable. Bottom line, this game should have been better considering how long we had to wait for it. The game gets a 7/10 from me
