What i mean is games that are important in general to gaming. These games might not be games you like or games that are truly innovative but games that are important.
My votes would go to:
bioshock for telling a more mature story than most games
LBP for revolutionizing the idea of user generated content
and COD 4 for truly creating the template for all online shooters now

playstation 3 : 72-74 million wii : 104-105 million 
Most hyped for :
Bioshock: infinte, The Last Of Us, Alan Wake's American Nightmare and Agent
