If you are down for socialism or communisim, sure, personally though, I work hard for my money and I have no problems paying my taxes, the problem is the people without hope or are simply lazy, I don't believe in unluckiness past certain percentage. I'd definitely pick the 60-100 and not 40-45.

you think people on low incomes dont work hard? tells me all I need to know about capitalists then doesnt it?

they are not fecking lazy, your lazy for calling them lazy though.

I would rather live in a nation where people all have a good standard of living, than one where some people live in luxury whilst others are left to rot on the streets, if that makes you neo-liberal peeps hate me, then so be it.

I worked at an ice cream store when I was in High School(another job with the school district doing computing, yeah I had 2 fucking jobs even back in high school, I started working at 14) if I was still working at an ice cream store now, I'd fucking slap myself 10 ways til sun down. To this day, I don't know what those 30ish year olds were doing working there who were not even managers, fuckers were either too stupid or just fucking lazy asses who didn't want to bother with school, or dumb asses that had a kid too early without using a brain, lazy about life is the worst laziness there can be.

again, this seems to be more to do with arrogance and an attitude problem on your part than any failing of others, everyone has different lifes and different problems, you are in no position to judge them for it.

If this was 10-15 years ago, I might just feel the same way that you do, but now, the only thing I'll say is come back in 15 years and tell me that same bullshit, I'll be waiting.

lol, there are many ways to define equality.

The kind of equality I want is one where every human in a country has the means to earn there own income, and the choice to decide where the efforts of there labors go.

For example:

If I chose to put forth the effort to go to college, be an intern somewhere, and sacrifice thousands of hours of my youth for more income later, I should be allowed those rewards.

If I chose to skip college, work in a restaurant, and live a far more relaxed, easy, and fun youth while sacrificing more income later, I should be allowed those rewards.

Telling one group after they have taken one of these paths, that they have to provide for the other, is not the definition of equality to me.

im sorry, but who are you to judge the life circumstances and choices of others now? I dont see the words "deity" next to your name, so none of that.

people are poor for all kinds of reasons, I bet you next to none of them like being poor or are so because they are lazy.

life is so much more complex than you seem to think. Equality of Oppurtunity does not and cannot exist in a Capitalist Society, thats just a fact, your stance pre supposes that we all have equal oppurtunity to succed in life, which is such utter dross its barely worth responding too.

I have the right because I was born poor, never give a thing, and busted my ass in the work force for 20 years to get where I am. I worked 60-70 hour a week. I worked harder then the next guy.

I also have that right, because I know I am no better then anyone else out there. I just worked harder for it. If you want it, do what I did, don't skip doing the things you know will make you successful because you don't want to do it, and then take from me.

I am not white, was not born rich, and as you can see from my spelling I have a learning disability. I had to work full time while I went to school.

No one can tell me it can't be done. People just need to get off there ass and do it.

no, you dont have that right, jesus christ do you have an ego on ye, just because you did something does not in anyway mean that anyone else can acheive what you did, if it did, theyre would be alot more billionares around.

more ego then, "better than everyone else", do I even need to reply to such drivel?

seriously, you have NO right to say these things, if you did well from that, great for you, but dont be an ass and hold it against others that didnt, it just makes you look arrogant.

and people who work hard have a right to have that ego, as do I, that, is life.

*sigh* so really, you dont even want to debate, you just think you are better, great...

...Why is a 20 year old trying to correct a 30-something about work ethic?

Has the world got that bad? Really?

And FYI, Noddy, most of the poor people I know (and I know a lot of them) are that way because they are indeed lazy or stupid. No one wants to be poor - you are right about that - but not every one wants to take the steps needed to get out of it. I have friends that are in poverty, and could easily get out of it, but demand to spend $20-$30 on take-out dinners 2, 3 and even 4 times a week. I know others that drink and smoke, then complain about not having money. I could go on and on about the poor people I know, but in 80-90% of situations, they are self-inflicted.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

Dude, read my post. I said I am "no better then anyone else", meaning I think anyone who applies themselves can achieve what I did. How is that an Ego?

It is, but it's not a bad thing, you are not being snobby about it, everybody has ego, you are simply pointing out that working smart and hard enough in life and you'd get it, he's saying everybody can make a billion dollars if it's true, which is something only a kid would say.

no, I just think I'm more experienced in life than you, which I can confidently say that it's 500% true at this point.
