Forums - Microsoft - DESTINATION ARCADE - new xbla layout application/layout

Xbox Live's Major Nelson has announced that a new "recommendation engine and visual browser app," Destination Arcade, is to launch next week in the US.

Accessible from the Games Marketplace section of the dashboard, the new browser will allow users to sort by price, community rating and more, and will feature a news feed and the ability to "find out what games your friends like and recommend."

Major Nelson has posted a selection of preview screenshots of the service on Flickr. No word yet on when this service will reach regions outside of the United States.

Cool.  I think they should make the whole marketplace look like this.

Just keeps getting better.

Atto Suggests...:

Book - Malazan Book of the Fallen series

Game - Metro Last Light

TV - Deadwood

Music - Forest Swords

Looks cool!

Looks nice. Making online stores easier to find things on is always a good thing. Weird that it's all blue though...

Looking good, but wait...Zune? Music Stores? No, thanks. MS, please do your homework and improve the performance of previous add-on apps first.

And by the way: Wouldn't it make more sense to deliver something like "Destination Arcade" for XBL Indie Games? The Arcade section is imho still manageable.

Is it a download, or a new 'tab' in the marketplace? I'm thinking if it's a download, can I sign in with my US GT and use it on my normal UK GT?

Oh it looks nice, how about lower prices next?
