This film is going to be great. I have a high hope that it will become the highest grossing movie of 2010.

There's no way this will outgross the new Harry Potter movie. Heck it probably won't even outgross that abomination of a movie called "Eclipse" (which is a tarvesty, but tween girls have no tastes in movies).

On the bright side this may finally nad Nolan a Best Director nom at the Oscars.

I think Inception may have a very outside chance at top grossing movie of the year in the US, if Toy Story 3 starts to slow down soon. Most likely not though and  a 250 mil domestic gross would be a huge accomplishment. Worldwide the movie has no shot with Alice in Wonderland already earning over a billion.

Nope. This title will go to either Alice in Wonderland or Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I.

Or Toy Story 3.

I'm assuming the whole movie was "lovingly" ripped off of Operation Mindcrime.

considering that Nolan is one of the best directors out right now it's hardly surprising; the guy has yet to make a bad film and I doubt he will for the forseeable future. When you're comparing something to William Gibson then crap just got intense. Plus this summer has been godawful for movies.

this movie is AWESOME; great, creative set pieces, complex characters, a rich plot, and stunning direction. I never though Nolan could top TDK, but he might have done just that. I am calling Oscar Noms for Best Picture, Best Editing, and Best Visual Effects at least. Nolan also deserves credit for Best Director and Best Original Screenplay. Best movie of this severely lukewarm summer and maybe the best film of the year. It is, indeed, a rare case of a truly brilliant film.

The first half of the film is much better the second time you see it. The viewer catches on to subtle details that were confusing the first watch through, but obvious to the rules of the film the second time. I enjoyed the first half much more the second time, but obviously the intencity of the amazing climax is watered down when you know the end result.

Saw it the first time at the midnight premiere, and the second time with my mother. She didnt get it, but she does love those Dicaprio films :P

I don't think I have ever seen a director/writer have such an amazing streak in terms of both quality and commercial success. With Batman 3 and the involvment in Superman reboot the longevity is likely to continue.

Oh, Inception is the best movie of the year so far.

Ahhh, seen it today, wonderful, wonderful. It's been a while since i have enjoyed and been wowed by a film so much.
