Forums - Sony - MGS Peace Walker...

I plan on buying a new PSP soon since my current one is bust. If I can find the bundle with this game, I'll get it.

I'm particularly interested in the AdHoc party. I liked playing Portable Ops online, and this one looks just as fun if not better. Hell, it has an MGO1 feel.

Should also mention that it's the only MGS game to recieve a 9/10 from Edge Magazine.

I'd like to play it, but buying a PSP just for that is out of the question.

MGS3 was great and this looks to have that same spirit. I'll wait for a port on another console, hopefully soon for 3DS, who knows.

Dissidia, The 3rd Birthday, upcoming Final Fantasy's says hello. Go ahead and wait for those on the 3DS

What's the matter, I think Peace Walker looks great, just not enough to justify me buying a console for it... and since MGS3 is coming to 3DS why not its spiritual sequel? I won't wait for it or those other games, but there's a possibilty.

You're right. I take back what I said.. Or post.

are you sure The Naked Sample is a full game? , i mean the name makes it look like a tech demo for 3D.

I didn't really like the demo that much. I might get it one day, but there are a few games I want more atm.

its not really like the demo, the full game is more open and more deeper, the demo seems very level based and linear.

Yeah this game is like Monster Hunter. You can literly play it for hours upon hours. Upgrading your base with better soliders, recruiting tanks, helicopters, doing extra ops, sending your army out on special missions, upgrading weapons, searching and unlocking new weapons/items. Even using your soliders on extra op missions instead of Snake and level them up by using them more.

There is just so much in the game to do. Loving it.

EDIT: Forgot another thing. Even going on a date with a certain female character and if your lucky taking some exclusive photos with her.. hehe

Can't get past the control scheme to be honest.

They should've made the controls exactly like MGS:1 since there's no dual analog.

just UNrevert it and its done, the controls are fine, that is unless you are talking without playing the game?

Yeah, I'm a complete idiot who has no idea how to switch the inverted camera back to normal. /sarcasm. Why would I say I don't like the game without actually playing it ?

I'm a huge MGS fan actually, but I just can't get passed the fact that you have to use the X O ^ and  square button to aim and move the camera around. It feels extremely clunky and unnatural. Kudos to you if you're comfortable with them replacing the second analog stick, but I'd much rather play MGS 4 or anything else on PS3 instead of fighting with my PSP to get things right with the game. I felt the exact same with Resistance retribution and Portable Ops.

C'mon it's not that hard,  you will get used to it :)
