8 million isn't common. It's actually a minority.

Do.. you think... that Pokemon... is COMMONLY considered... to be an RPG? Many people don't know what an RPG is. The people who know what RPGs are are most likely gamers. However, the majority of people are not gamers and the majority know what Pokemon is. Do you think they consider it to be a genre they don't even know about?

All games are RPGs as you take on some kind of role that is not you. So RPG means gaming not some annoying asain game/movie with androgenous teeneagers.

For me it's RPG Maker for the ps2.



Playstation All-Stars is one of the best games I've played this gen, and is the most fun I've had in a game this gen.

No , I simply think that most of the pokemon game fan are gamers and they know the rpg genre and they also know that the pokemon game are rpg.

When pokemon diamond/pearl have landed on DS , 16 million have bought the game, probably a couple of million were casual. But do really think that the 8 million who have bought almost the same game twice (pokemon platine , heart / soul) were casual gamer who do not know the genre ? No , i'm pretty sure that the 8 million guy/girl were hardcore gamer who want the entire collection or/and want to puts another 100 hour to capture monster and beat the team rocket.

And all these hardcore gamer probably think 'pokemon' when there hear rpg and not by reflexe, by instinct.



           Sequel I want the most :

Patapon 3 , Elite beat Agent 2 , ROTK 12 , Mother 4, Legend of legaia      3, Resident Evil outbreak 3.
