360S have dropped to 14th position on amazon. PS3 Slim do have 15th position right after 360S.

Undertracked? They've only had the sales data up for 1 week since it's launch and even still it was only available for 3 days out of the week, near tripling the previous weeks numbers.  I think the following weeks will look more impressive, as it doesn't appear to be just a 1 week spike.

I hadn't even considered that the new X360 was just selling like mad hotcakes.  I haven't seen any in stores and I just assumed some stores hadn't gotten them yet.

They sure are pretty machines.    But I'm pretty happy with my 60-Gig Pro.

Xbox 360 wants to Kinect &  PS3 wants to Move!  Why are both systems having such relationship problems?  The reason is they both become so infactuated with desire while watching the Wii as it waggles on by. They simply want what they can't have.

Yea, it may be selling great, but does anybody remember that week in september when the slim ps3 came out and it topped 1 million.  Need I say more?


Yes, this was accompanied by a $100 price cut, but I think that while a lot of the sales we are seeing for 360 are the slim, a huge # are also people buying the consoles that are now only $149 and $249, which will be gone soon.  Next week, sales will likely remain high, then they will once again drop below ps3 sales worldwide.

I honestly think releasing a new arcade for $199 was a mistake when they lowered current to $149.  It is almost like giving out a price cut and then taking it back.

I think the 360s is going to sell well for quite some time.  It's been almost 5 years since the 360 was released and many people are ready for a new piece of hardware...even if it's just a redesign with some added functionality.  Plus the 360s makes the original 360 design look ancient.  Also, with the release of Kinect this fall, you could see another increase in sales if the mainstream media hype carries through the holidays (More than an average holiday bump).

Yea, apparently I don't remember, it hit 582k the week of the price cut and 755k for black friday.  I was considerably off, but the 360 sales aren't even close to this now, and no, aug. 30th-sept. 6th are not holiday sales either.

ps3 120 gb is #13, 360 slim is #14.  ps3 250 gb bundle is 60.  Other 360's aren't on the list.  Ps3 woudl still be ahead if there was more supply, because i'm 98% sure it includes  orders still going through.
