People with half common sense wouldn't preorder a device without even a price yet.

People with full common sense would wait 6 months to a year before buying any consumer electronic device, gaming consoles included. Buying at launch date only opens up your wallet to shell more dollars out for a fix of a manufacturer defect that was not tested for because the execs were pushing it due to the pressure from the board of directors and shareholders to release a product because they had a quarterly bottom line to meet.

are you trying to say kinect was rushed??

anyway on topic I went into game and they already have orders for the move and lots of them, that was'nt advertised either, so any more excuses??

I waited a year to get a 360, 2 years to get the Wii and PS3 and later swapped for a PS3 Slim, sold my 360 at year 3-4 of it's life, and have always had a PC, so I would say it's not about Kinect being rushed or not, but a consumer choice when it comes to purchase dates, I have no reason to shell out money unless it truly justifies and I'm sure there are a lot of people out there that feel the same way as me.

Kinect might not be that awesome, but its way better than move, yet the preorders are lower. How weird...

If it's a Kinect vs Move thing, Move currently looks more appealing to me due to it supporting a lot of core games right out of the box already, MS is really good at marketing in the US though, they know how consumers are here, generally not too smart.

I still can't believe people taking this seriously. It is shop to for christ sake, most normal people have no clue who they are....

If you want to gauge pre-orders then speak to one of the proper game stores/websites in uk. Because it is the equivelent of dodgy dave at the car boot saying he has not sold an games today. That doesn't mean people are not buying games, they just are not buying them from him!

Shopto. Who the hell is Shopto.

I live in the UK and have never seen 1 shop, advert or anything.

People use GAME, HMV, or supermarkets. Not this Shopto.

LOL.

Hey Shopto is the ones saying £130 for Kinect.

GAME says £79.99 - £89.99.

I wonder who will be closer.

Shopto tey selling furniture instead.

While I suspect that Kinect and Sony's Move will likely not see the success they each hope for, I think it's also a little too early to be worrying about low pre-order numbers--especially with no official price being released from Microsoft, no  matter how accurate the predicted pricing may be.  Hell, July has only just started, the release of Kinect is 5 months out.  Who's preording that damn early?

Granted, that's not as bad as some Nintendo fanboys that have already preordered the next Wii Zelda, which doesn't even have a release date.  Yeah, they're out there...

I guess some people just like giving their money to retailers and all the retailers have to do is ask...

Well u should check them since ey have miles better price than hmv, station and what not.Paypal also.

Where does game say 80 pounds 4 kinect?

Ey didnt set price at all!!!!

This thing is on the fast track to failure, and to be honest, I'm hoping it does. I don't want controller free gaming. I think I can handle the difficult task of pressing a button.

EB Games is Australias largest game retailer, they are so big that they have even caused GAME to start closing down it's stores all over Melbourne and Sydney. EB list's their Kinnect price as $198.00, obviously Australia prices thing's differently compared to the UK or America, but Move is listed as $98.00 which mean's it's stuck to the same price as the US release.

I'm friend's with the manager at my local EB (don't really like the guy, but he help's me out from time to time) and he say's that the listed price is the launch price. With all these prices going around, I doubt it's going to be cheap. Shopto might actually have a legitimate point and I don't see a reason as to why they should be back handed because their not as big as GAME in the UK.

Bet with Conegamer and AussieGecko that the PS3 will have more exclusives in 2011 than the Wii or 360... or something.

360 sales are higher already. But I'm pretty sure they'll go back down because they only went up because of transformers.

lol your right, sony and microsoft are just trying to keep up with Nintendo by copying them, yet, although Wii was out almost 5 years ago, it way better than sony and microsoft's "invention". lol... five year difference, and look at the results.
