The movie has already made $74 million in the US. I'm afraid it might have a sequel just based on the money it's been making.

BTW... unfortunately Aang is "Ong" in the traditional sense. They should have left it like the animated series.

That is still in the balance.
The movie took 200 - 250 million to made and advertise. Blockbusters are designed to make 200 à 300 % profit. Just a 50 or 100 million profits is deemed more or less a failure.
