avatar is one of my favorites cartoon series and i hope that the movie is a success so they will make a trilogy, i hope they don't put tha same director.

If it's had success why would they put a different director ?

well mainly because the film is recieving bad reviews. and i heard that they are going to put the creators of the series as the director in the second film.

Around the Network

The movie has already made $74 million in the US. I'm afraid it might have a sequel just based on the money it's been making.

I didn't care how bad they screwed things up the most anoying thing for me was they kept calling aang "Ong:...

That was annoying, but the worst thing, IMO, was the bending itself. It never felt like it was connected to the martial arts. In the cartoon the elements flow from the martial arts, as if it's just an extension of what they do. In this, they just did random shit into the air then the bending happened afterwards. What the hell, Shyamalan. Did you miss the whole freaking point of the bending in the show being an extension of the person doing it?

Yeah I agree too... the bending was like a dance, then something happened afterwards.

BTW... unfortunately Aang is "Ong" in the traditional sense.  They should have left it like the animated series.

That is still in the balance.

The movie took 200 - 250 million to made and advertise. Blockbusters  are designed to make 200 à 300 % profit. Just a 50 or 100 million profits is deemed more or less a failure.
