Way to screw the pooch again MS.  This 'me too' strategy entering the hardware market is killing them.  The HTC windows mobile 7 offerings should be much, much better.  I'm starting to now realise why the EDD always looks like its struggling.

Was there even hype for this phone? I see commercails for it for like a week, and then I see its been discontinued? I never thought that it would be a failure so early, but maybe the new iphone 4 killed any potential this phone had.

This phone should have never existed... All it did was confuse people and seperated the WinMo market. It made me scratch my head when they first announced this phone. WinMo 7 should have been M$'s only focus in the cellphone market.

This needed to happen. Nobody wants a psuedo-smartphone, they either want the full deal or a simple dumbphone. Moreover, Microsoft's whole mobile strategy needs to be more integrated than it has been until now. All the platforms are too seperate and distinct when they could be synergistically supporting each other.

Next step is to integrate Zune into the Windows Phone 7 strategy.

Zune is part of Windows Phone 7



Its libraries that sell systems not a single game.

Having Kin and Kinect together on the market is bound to cause additional confusion with customers.

The funny thing is that I hear the iPhone is night and day better than the HTC EVO. I.E. It lasts another night and another day on the one charge when comparing them out of the box.
