It's not going to get better for you guys when the world throws away modern macroeconomics for Hoover era classical economics. There's going to be lots of cuts on government spending which will probably mean less money for the unemployed. Consumer confidence isn't going to come up soon, especially if we're counting on the "long term" to solve problems (it's just going to be a reduction in long term output, so that our confidence will in fact be in line with reality, a really shitty one that is). Germany and China can kiss their export driven strategy good bye when the rest of the world fucking falls into another recession.
Oh, and the debt that needs to be paid off? Good luck with the lack of revenue with the recession to come. Sadly, economic austerity is going to be counter productive and do the opposite of what it wanted to do in the first place >.<
I really just get sadder and sadder. It's like Atlas Shrugged, but just the complete opposite in regards to who the bad guys and good guys are. Larry King's going to stop because CNN can't compete against FNC (well, CNN already went to shit anyway, but it's still sad to see FNC profiteering off of its "journalism"). We see a movement that completely has no aim, having contradictory wishes, ignoring basic facts. There's no more hope in this world, and there's nothing that can be done. Really, after a whole shitty decade, this is what it's going to ammount to, a REALLY shitty decade.
My god, people are worrying about inflation, when they ignore the basic fact that if everyone demands less of all goods, the price of all goods are going to fall >.< Pseudo monetarist are somehow trying to argue for something, even though interest rates are at or near 0%, and loans are being made at bargain rates. Kids can't get jobs, adults are losing jobs, we're just going to social networking sites (oh yeah, this site is one now), oh fucking god dammit. Lunch break is over, and I get to continue my unpaid internship.
