I put it on the hardest setting on my first play through after hearing that in advance myself, and I found it rather enjoyable, with a good mix of challenge, slow pacing myself, and always thinking through my routes before I take them. |
I played it on hard the first time through. I just felt the game rewarded you more for playing like a third person shooter. Even the enemy patterns were all sweep based, much like Batman Arkham Asylum, I dunno, felt very wierd and very off. Every time I ended up spotted I knew I could go disappear but it seemed almost like the game wanted me to Rambo it out of every situation. There were several parts where you couldn't avoid them if you wanted.
I know you could play it stealthy but they took the incintive and extra reason you would want to play stealthy. Oddly enough the most fun I had with the game was earning the achievement for beating a level without using guns, on Kobin's mansion.
